| Sharon is an internationally respected operant conditioning and animal behavioural specialist. |

Her professional skills have taken her to 3 different continents. Sharon has worked with exotic species such as African Lions, Bengal Tigers, Asian elephants, leopards, polar bears, Asiatic black bears, marine mammals such as dolphins and dugongs and also farm animals and domestic species.
Sharon specialises in understanding the behavioural needs of animals in captivity and dependant on human care. She uses her professional skills to develop programs and enriching environments to provide them with the best quality of life and care.
In the past year her skills have assisted in rehabilitating Asiatic black bears in China that are being rescued from bile farms by the Animals Asia Foundation.
In 1997, to broaden her experience and understanding of different species Sharon worked as an animal trainer on the set of ‘Babe II, Pig in the City’.
“I learned so much from these amazing little piglets – who were only a few months old. They are truly humorous curious and incredibly smart animals. I was amazed by their high intelligence, character and charming individual personalities.”

“It saddens me deeply to learn of the cruel conditions that
millions of this unique species endure in Australia. Many caring Australians
are devoted to assisting animals kept in hideous conditions overseas,
but I don’t think that they realise the horrible conditions that
pigs endure here in our own country – especially pregnant pigs
and mothers.”
In December last year, Sharon cared for and travelled with SaveBabe.com's ambassador Bella, educating Australians about this unique species and their plight,

“I can’t
turn my back on animals suffering in my own back yard. An animal of
this intelligence spending the majority of their life imprisoned in
a tiny metal stall hardly able to move, is for me no different to seeing
a caged bear kept to drain its bile.”
“The basic, yet fundamental need for these animals, required to provide them with any quality in their lives, is taken away… the ability to choose..”
“Please support SaveBabe.com and help create urgently needed change for this unique and beautiful species. “
